Little Girl:

Little Girl

Pigtails with ribbons
Her Sunday dress on
She looked to her mommy and said;
“Look I put my shoes on.”

Her mom chuckled and smiled and
Bent down by her child and
Said to her daughter;
“I knew you could do it, it just took a short while”

The little girl reached up to her mother and
Hugged her just right and after a kiss
She looked up and as she smiled told her dear child;
“I love you for life.”

Her mother got up and walked out the door
Headed outside to startup the car
That Sunday, mid morn.

She opened the door, not being aware
Of the man sitting and hiding right behind her front chair.
He held a gun to her head, and told her to drive
And that’s what she did, too afraid to just die.

The little girl just stood and watched her mom drive away,
Without knowing just what she did that wouldn’t allow her to stay.
So without any knowing at all and confused nonetheless
She headed to church in her pink Sunday dress.

When she arrived and tried opening the door,
A young woman looked down and said;
“Well hello little girl, why do you frown?”

She looked up and cried and told her the truth
“my mommy left me today, when I put on my own shoes.”
She went to the car and drove right away
Neither hug nor goodbye, just a small kiss for the day.

The young woman looked frightened and disturbed
And went right to the bishop to share what she heard.

He looked to the girl and said; “honey, don’t you worry.
We will find where your mommy went. And before we are through,
We will pray to our father that he brings her safely back to you.

The little girl looked to him and sighed, and got down on her knees
To say a small prayer, so soft and so sweet;
Our father in heaven, I pray to you now, that you forgive all things I
Have done that cause a frown. I know I am asking a lot of you God, but
Please bring her back; she is all I have anymore. I am begging you please.
For I am here, down on my knees. And I say these things father in the name
Of your son, Jesus Christ.

The bishop looked down with tears in his eyes
And sat there just thinking about what must have
Been going through this young child’s mind

He soon called authorities
After he learned what truly had happened.
Her mother was kidnapped and not long after, killed
And it nearly did kill him, when he had to tell this sweet, young girl.

The police then arrived and took the girl on a cool cop car ride
They arrived at the station to make a big plan
For this girl was alone in this big scary world.
And there the girl sat, without saying a word.

A caseworker came to take her to stay at a girls home, not too far away.
And when they pulled to the drive she didn’t want to have to stay.
She wanted her mom to tuck her in tight with a kiss on the cheek and a
Loving “goodnight”

They walked up the steps and opened the door,
And all that was seen was girls, girls galore.
They were playing and laughing and just plain having fun
then a nice older lady kneeled down for a hug.

The little girl just looked up and said to her caseworker;
“my mommy has died and I’m all alone, but my new friends will help me
And I know it won’t be long and that day will soon come that I can see
My mommy again and be with her forever and ever in Heaven alongside our
Father.

And that’s exactly what happened.

This little girl met her mommy again after just 10 short, few years
When she died at the hands of a drunk, who had been drinking that night
She was out with her friends, and ran a red light and took all of their lives.

The start of a New begining

So, today i have been thinking long and hard about my upcoming birthday that has me turning 18. :) And after a profound thought, i thought to myself, i shouldn't be wasting my time worrying about how much money i am going to spend on this elabrate party, i should be thinking of everybody i want around me that day, and everybody that has come and gone into my life these last 18 years.... including the family i never want to ever go away; the Simpson's; the family that has tajen me under their wings and made me one of their own. I could have never asked for anything more amazing as a "surrogate" family.Ken and Cheryl, Kenny and Tenae, Lori and Richard, Kristi, Lisa, Craig, Staci, and Keri. Yes, we have had our moments and hard times, but our moments of weakness just made all of our relationships stronger, and i am sooo thankful that everyone of them, has made our relationship what it is today :). I tell Lisa all the time, that everytime i sat in the waiting room of the ultra-sound place PRAYING for a little sister (all 5 times) God answered my prayers, not right away but he answered them... God didn't want me to have little sisters, because he knew that all the hardships i have fought in my life would need older sisters to help me through it. And March of 2010 God officailly showed me and opened my eyes that after 14 years, he answered my prayers from so long ago. I LOVE you ALL!! and the only thing that i would like to do on my birthday is spend it with my family, biological and "surrogate".

A birthday is not what gifts you receive, and how much money you spend on a party to show popularity, its who you spend that day with, and its you making and enjoying laughs, and maybe a homecooked meal that eat while sitting around a table full of everyone you love, after you give thanks to our Heavenly Father for giving you that birthday, and everyone around you.

so this year i know what i am doing, and it doesnt include maxing out my dad's credit card either :)

Memorial

9 years ago today, i was sitting in my 3rd grade music class, staring at the tv watching what has changed so many lives.

On September 11th, 2001 America witnessed and the most horrible thing that has ever occured on our soil, and we have only grown stronger. Our citizens have grown closer. We have and still are endevouring the worst economy since the Great Depression.

Today we stand and give thanks to all who have sacraficed lives, limbs, and even their sanity to defend what America stands for, Freedom. And to show the world that America is the home of the Strong and the Brave.

I am proud to be an American where at least i know i'm free and i wont forget the man that died and who gave that right to me.

In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen

God bless the men and women who have fought and are fighting to keep me and my family free

Little Elli

So Elli. Let's just say she is JUST like her mother. anyways.

As Shagaye and i are playing with playdo with the other little kids Elli excuses herself and finds the little play phone and sat on the couch and started blabbing away on the phone. Once i realize what she is doing, i laugh so hard and ask her to come pick up her playdo. she looks at me and says "i on the phone" i roll my eyes and take a picture and send it to Lisa. i try once again and ask Elli to tell whomever it was that she was talking too goodbye and come clean up her playdo. She looks at me with the phone still by her ear with the hands in the air and gave me the confused look and says "i talking to Krissy." "ok, tell krissy you will call her later, and come clean up the playdo so we can leave." Elli rolls her eyes and hangs up the phone. but she doesn't just hang up put the phone down and leave it at that, no she keeps the phone in her hand and proceeds to "Text" on the phone. Elli looks at me and says "i wasn't done talking"

ohhh Elli. She definetly learns from the best!!!!!

Elli bug

so can i just start off saying, Elli is one of the freaking cutest things EVER....

Anyways, last friday (july 16th) i stopped by lisa's house to drop off her stroller and Justin's sunglasses. i went to leave and Elli came running after me, and i didnt want her running in the street so i picked her up and carried her back to the door, while i was holding her she whispers in my ear " I love you kessy" it melted my heart.

I leave and Elli asks Lisa where i was going, Lisa said she is going home. and Elli tells her mom, Oh, I miss her <3

Elli, i love you!!! and i miss you too
