My Hero, My Mentor, My Friend part 1

last summer while walking up and down my street i ran into my neighbor and said hi and we talked for a few minutes until she asked me to come to her house with her, so i did. i walked in the door and there is this beautiful young woman (keri) sitting my neighbor's (julie) couch, well i can be a very shy person so of course inside i was screaming to myself ijust wanna leave i dont know this person i want to go home, i ignored it and sat down, julie started talking and out of the blue say's "keri, kelcey babysits and is always looking for some work, you should have her watch ashton on the saturdays you have him." She being so bubbly and all goes "ya!!, you should give me your number and i will give you a call." i give this lady my number and head out the door.

2 weeks later while at a football game i get this phone call from a number i have never seen before, curious to see who it was i called the number back and it was keri, asking if i was interested in watching her little boy the following saturday, i agreed and went on my way. that sat walking to her house i was so nervous and so so scared. i go up to the door and knock knowing she would not hear me bause her radio was blaring. she finally opens the door and the lady i had met 2 weeks prior was not the same person who was standing in front of me, this girls was crazy, spaztic and out of control (in a good way). the day went on and around 5 pm keri got home from work and instead of saying hello, goodbye and running away something felt different, we sat there and talked for almost an hour and then she pipes up, turns to look at me and says i am going to go turn my wax on, not knowing what she did for a living i said ok and gave her a weird look, she walks down the hall and hollers my name and says "kelcey, come on we have to get rid of that unibrow of yours." i felt so insulted. after the whle waxing experience i walk home and we ended up texting the entire rest of the day until i went back to her house and hung out till almost 4 in the morning.

something about keri made me feel comfortable, and now a year in a half later we seriously could not have a better friendship. i am very thankful for her being in my life and helping me through all my struggles.
