So Lisa and I took Lexie, Masi, and Elli to the Zoo yesterday, which was the most fun i have had since the Pocatello Zoo, anyways. we go see the sily monkeys first and the little baby monkey was pestering the daddy. i got it on video, and managed to compare it to Lisa driving Justin crazy for Money, Kristi bugging Jett to stay off his foot and not go to work like doctors orders and me bugging my dad for his credit card all the time. it was really funny.
A little while later we headed over to the lions cave and watched them yawn and sleep for abot 10 minutes! then as we are walking away Elli skips off saying to herself "its a grrr, its a roar!" it was the cutest thing EVER!!!
And then after a potty break there were 5 little ducklings walking towards us so lisa takes my camera so she can get a couple pictures. as i go to follow her Elli grabs my hand and in a very dramatic voice says "Kesy, NO." i look at her in shock and say "why" Elli (still dramatic) "i dont want you to get hurt" i look at her still in shock and she continues to pet my hand and say "its ok, its ok" she is the cutest!!!
Zoo Boise was fun, and i hope to do that a lot this summer

Oh Little Miss Alyx

Alyx is just the cutest little thing ever put on this earth.
Sunday Afternoon Lisa calls me asking me if i can come kidnapp her girls for a few hours and take them to the park so she could get some much needed writing done.
i agree and off to the park we went. The girls played on the toys for a good 45 minutes while i got some much needed knitting done. Then they come running up to me and start freaking out..... "Kesy, Kesy (thats how they say my name) we go on the swings!!!!?????? PLEASE..." and of course i agree and we get on the swings. i was sitting there pushing the two of them and out of nowhere Alyx yells at me.....here is theconversation;
Alyx: I am a Kitty
Me: Oh really? well you are a very ADORABLE kitty
Alyx: Yes, i am a Kesy kitty.
Me: Oh really? what happened to your obsession to Auntie Kristi?
Alyx: Pitty is at home FAR AWAY, and you live with me, my mommy, my daddy, and Elli. so i am a Kesy kitty.
I could not help but laugh and cry at the same time!! its a real honor to be able to step in for Kristi when she is not around because Alyx is OBSESSED!!!!!!!!!!! and it just made me so happy that i have won them over in the last 2 years. Alyx tells me everynight when its time for bed that she doesnt like me (yes i know she is tired and grumpy and the only person she does like at that point in time is mommy).
The Love Sack Story
So one morning i go into to Lisa's room to wake her up. I crawl into bed with her and get right up next to her. She wakes up and we are laying there talking (still side by side) and she starts texting...... and the way lisa is.... dont attempt a conversation when she is texting because she tunes you OUT!!! anyways so we start talking about her smoring habits and i mention that i was very lucky she slept on the lovesack at Kristi's house while we were in Pocatello. All she hears is "Lovesack" and looks at me and says "if this is the lovesack, i am outta here." i started laughing my butt off and said "NO... the lovesack at Kristi's house."
so anyways long story short if you ever hear me and Lisa joking about the "lovesack" it is the new name her bed aquired after she pullled a "Keri" on me one morning...
it really is a lot funnier than it sounds, but it was a "you had to be there to enjoy the humor in it" moment...

My Newfound Sisters
I must say that i must be the luckiest person in the world. About a month ago i aquired the 5 (plus 2 (keri and Di) more that are absolutely AMAZING) sisters i have been praying for since i was 3. When my mother or stepmother would tell me that they were pregnant, every night i would get on my knees and pray that it would a baby girl and i would have a little sister to dress up and play with and share fun memories with, but all 5 times there woud always be that little extra leg and my dreams were shaddered. Although things looked up on MArch 5th 2010 when Lisa and I went to Pocatello (to visit her family and for me to do some college hunting) and her AMAZING, KINDHEARTED, BEAUTIFUL mother "adopted" (not literally) me as one of her own. Along with the amazing Mother and newfound father (he is a goofball) i got 5 older sisters and 2 older brothers; Lori, Kristi, Tenae, Lisa, Staci, Kenny, Craig. They are the most amazing people in the world and i would not trade anything that happened on that tip for ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!
The Simpson Family is amazing and i am soooooooo blessed and thenkful that i get to be apart of it..... i <3 you guys and just want to say how grateful i am to all of you and everything any of you have ever done for me!!!
and oh i cant forget the 14 neices and nephews that come along with the siblings......Kelsey, Kendall, Kylie, Kaden, Lexie, Masi, Tyke, Addyson, Hayden, Tayson, Alyx, Elliana, Spencer, and last but certainly not least, Ashton

My cousin Kami was killed today on the freeway just past Mountain Home. Her grandma's van blew a tire and the van rolled. Kami and her older brother were ejected from the vehicle and Kami passed away instantly. Andrew crawled to his sister's side and held his dead sister in his arms. Kami and Andrew's mother was killed in a car accident a few years ago and died from being ejected from the vehicle she was in.
No arrangements have been made at this point and time. i give my condolences to my aunt mary and my cousin andrew. my the lord help you pull through this tradegy. i love you all and god bless you

i got this from an email, it made me cry
YOU ARE MY SUNSHINEYou are My Sunshine, My only Sunshine" (Be prepared to get Watery eyes!)Like any good mother, when Karen found out that another baby was on the way, she did what she could to help her 3-year-old son, Michael, prepare for a new sibling. They found out that the new baby was going be a girl, and day after day, night after night, Michael sang to his sister in mommy's tummy. He was building a bond of love with his little sister before he even met her.The pregnancy progressed normally for Karen, an active member of the Panther Creek United Methodist Church in Morristown, Tennessee. In time, the labor pains came. Soon it was every five minutes, every three, every minute. But serious complications arose during delivery and Karen found herself in hours of labor. Would a C-section be required? Finally, after a long struggle, Michael's little sister was born. But she was in very serious condition. With a siren howling in the night, the ambulance rushed the infant to the neonatal intensive care unit at St. Mary's Hospital, Knoxville, TennesseeThe days inched by. The little girl got worse. The pediatrician had to tell the parents there was very little hope, to be prepared for the worst. Karen and her husband contacted a local cemetery about a burial plot. They had fixed up a special room in their house for their new baby but now they found themselves having to plan for a funeral. Michael, however, kept begging his parents to let him see his sister. I want to sing to her, he kept saying.Week two in intensive care looked as if a funeral would come before the week was over.Michael kept nagging about singing to his sister, but kids are never allowed in Intensive Care. Karen decided to take Michael whether they liked it or not. If he didn't see his sister right then, he might never see her alive. She dressed him in an oversized scrub suit and marched him into ICU. He looked like a walking laundry basket. The head nurse recognized him as a child and bellowed, "Get that kid out of here now. No children are allowed." The mother rose up strong in Karen, and the usually mild-mannered lady glared steel-eyed right into the head nurse's face, her lips a firm line. "He is not leaving until he sings to his sister" she stated. Then Karen towedMichael to his sister's bedside. He gazed at the tiny infant losing the battle to live. After a moment, he began to sing. In the pure-hearted voice of a 3-year-old, Michael sang: "You are my sunshine my only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are gray." Instantly the baby girl seemed to respond. The pulse rate began to calm down and become steady."Keep on singing, Michael," encouraged Karen with tears in her eyes."You never know, dear, how much I love you, please don't take my sunshine away."As Michael sang to his sister, the baby's ragged, strained breathing became as smooth as a kitten's purr."Keep on singing, sweetheart.""The other night, dear, as I lay sleeping, I dreamed I held you in my arms."Michael's little sister began to relax as rest, healing rest, seemed to sweep over her."Keep on singing, Michael."Tears had now conquered the face of the bossy head nurse. Karen glowed."You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. Please don't take my sunshine away..."The next day...the very next day...the little girl was well enough to go home. Woman's Day Magazine called it"The Miracle of a Brother's Song." The medical staff just called it a miracle. Karen called it a miracle of God's love.

My Hero, My Mentor, My Friend part 1
last summer while walking up and down my street i ran into my neighbor and said hi and we talked for a few minutes until she asked me to come to her house with her, so i did. i walked in the door and there is this beautiful young woman (keri) sitting my neighbor's (julie) couch, well i can be a very shy person so of course inside i was screaming to myself ijust wanna leave i dont know this person i want to go home, i ignored it and sat down, julie started talking and out of the blue say's "keri, kelcey babysits and is always looking for some work, you should have her watch ashton on the saturdays you have him." She being so bubbly and all goes "ya!!, you should give me your number and i will give you a call." i give this lady my number and head out the door.
2 weeks later while at a football game i get this phone call from a number i have never seen before, curious to see who it was i called the number back and it was keri, asking if i was interested in watching her little boy the following saturday, i agreed and went on my way. that sat walking to her house i was so nervous and so so scared. i go up to the door and knock knowing she would not hear me bause her radio was blaring. she finally opens the door and the lady i had met 2 weeks prior was not the same person who was standing in front of me, this girls was crazy, spaztic and out of control (in a good way). the day went on and around 5 pm keri got home from work and instead of saying hello, goodbye and running away something felt different, we sat there and talked for almost an hour and then she pipes up, turns to look at me and says i am going to go turn my wax on, not knowing what she did for a living i said ok and gave her a weird look, she walks down the hall and hollers my name and says "kelcey, come on we have to get rid of that unibrow of yours." i felt so insulted. after the whle waxing experience i walk home and we ended up texting the entire rest of the day until i went back to her house and hung out till almost 4 in the morning.
something about keri made me feel comfortable, and now a year in a half later we seriously could not have a better friendship. i am very thankful for her being in my life and helping me through all my struggles.
